ODENTON, Md. — A 25-year-old woman was charged on Friday after Anne Arundel County Police received a report of a substitute teacher that had engaged in sexual activities with a minor.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, on the morning of June 4, police responded to North County High School and the Center of Applied Technologies North for the report.

The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Alexis Merecedes Boberg. The victim told police that in May, Boberg exchanged phone numbers with him, and they would meet off of school property at various locations throughout the month. He told police that during those times, Boberg supplied him with alcohol and engaged in sexual activities.

The following day, detectives assigned to the Child Abuse Unit executed a search warrant at the Boberg's address. Following witness interviews and evidence, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and charged Boberg with two counts of a fourth-degree sex offense with a person in a position of authority along with one count of consuming an alcoholic beverage while on public property.

On Monday, June 17, Boberg responded to the Western District Police Station and was taken into custody.

The Anne Arundel County School Board immediately removed the suspect from having any further contact with children when they were notified of the allegation.
