BALTIMORE — On this Valentine's Day, local groups gathered to show their support for people in Afghanistan.
Among them, Baltimore Peace Action and the Baltimore Nonviolence Center.
Supporters say they stand in solidarity with Afghans and demand that the Biden administration unfreeze the country’s assets.
Some people present were taking part in a hunger strike to stand in solidarity with Afghanistan.
Other protests against the sanctions took place in Annapolis, Columbia and Silver Spring.
