HARFORD COUNTY — County Executive Barry Glassman announced a phased reopening plan for Harford County Parks & Recreation programs and facilities.
Each phase of the plan requires all of the governor’s executive orders to be followed, including group size, mask wearing and social distancing requirements.
The plan does not apply to activities at other sites, such as Harford County public school properties, which are not under the authority of county government.
Phase 1 of the plan begins February 1 and allows organized activities to resume outdoors at county facilities for parks & recreation programs and for the independent recreation councils.
In addition, all activities can resume at Cedar Lane Regional Park. Phase 1 is in line with the county executive’s original plan to resume outdoor activities this spring.
Phase 2 begins on March 1 and allows outdoor activities to resume for non-recreation council programs, such as club sports, through the normal permitting process with their local Harford County Parks & Recreation offices.
Phase 3 allows indoor activities to begin as early as March 1, but depends on all Harford County government employees having the opportunity to be vaccinated.
