BALTIMORE — It’s a stretch of Erdman Avenue cloaked in the Pulaski industrial area where vehicle accidents happen routinely, but not like this one.
Surveillance video from a nearby business shows police arriving on the scene on Sunday night and taking 43-year-old George Kuhn into custody.
This comes after he called and reported that he had shot his fiancee in the face, killing her.
In the corner of the screen you may be able to make it out as he approaches officers and they take him into custody.
Court records suggest Kuhn was sitting in the front passenger seat of the victim’s Honda Pilot, and he was arguing with 36-year-old Kristy Helmert when he pulled out a 40-caliber handgun and shot her while the vehicle was still moving.
Crime scene technicians discovered two cartridges at the scene.
According to court document, investigators also seized Kuhn’s white tennis shoes and white tank top, which had blood all over them.
Helmert leaves behind a teenage daughter, and friends have created a GoFundMe account claiming the victim had been in a physically abusive relationship for years, and she paid for it with her life.
