BALTIMORE — Baltimore City ended 2020 with over 300 murders, a mark surpassed for six consecutive years.
The year closed out with 31 people killed in December, all but two by gunfire.

During the month there were 45 non-fatal shooting incidents.
Of the month's total victims, 13 were women.
At least five people in their teens lost their lives.
Twelve incidents throughout December involved more than one victim.
In September 2020, WMAR-2 News began tracking daily murders and shootings in the city.
Here's a look at January 2021.
2/1 - 10:16 p.m., a 21 year-old man was shot in the 4300 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. He was taken to a local hospital. Detectives are investigating.
1/31 - 11:36 p.m., Officers located a male victim who had been shot in the 300 block of Furrow Street. He was taken to an area hospital where his condition is unknown. The victim told detectives that he was walking in the block when a gray Jeep Cherokee pulled along side him and an African American male who was wearing a brown leather jacket shot him from inside the vehicle.
1/31 - 6:40 p.m. Officers were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment and found an unidentified female being treated for a gunshot wound. She is listed in stable condition.
1/31 - 2:29 a.m., Officers responded to the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue for a shot spotter alert. When officers arrived, they located evidence that a shooting had occurred in the 1700 Block of Gwynns Falls Parkway but found no victim. A short time later, officers received a call for a shooting victim in the 2000 Block of Dukeland Street. There, they found a 31-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical, but stable condition.
1/31- 1:46 a.m., A 29 year-old man was shot inside a vehicle in the 4900 block of Herring Run Drive. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and pronounced dead by medical personnel.
1/29/21 - 11:15 p.m., an unidentified man was shot and found in the 600 Block of Arsan Avenue. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead by medical personnel.
1/29/21 - 11:00 a.m., A 58-year-old was shot to death in the 2900 Block of Brighton Street. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics. Police say the suspect(s) may have fled the location in a dark colored SUV.
1/29 - 5:35 p.m., MTA van driver shot and killed in the 4400 block of Moravia Road.
1/29 - 7:24 a.m., A 30-year-old man was shot in the face inside a vehicle in the 2700 block of Rueckert Avenue. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
1/28 - 11:10 pm: A 42 year-old man went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso. Investigators found a crime scene in the 1700 block of Wilkens Avenue.
1/28 - 7:13 p.m., A man who was found at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds is believed to have been shot in the 3700 block of Woodhaven Avenue.
1/28 - 4:42 p.m., Kevin Wallace was shot in the 2100 block of Sidney Avenue. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
1/28 - 1:15 a.m., Darryl Oliver, 55, and 47-year-old Reginald Taylor were found unresponsive in the 5300 block of Cordelia Avenue. Both were pronounced dead.
1/27 - 11:32 p.m., A 31-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 1500 block of Cypress Street. He was taken to a local hospital.
1/26 - 9:14 p.m., A man was found shot in the 1900 block of Lemmon Street.
1/26 - 8:32 p.m., Officers found a 44-year-old Raynard Booker shot multiple times in the 2800 block of Wylie Avenue. Booker was transported to Sinai Hospital. On July 26, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by hospital personnel. On Tuesday, the Medical Examinier ruled Booker’s death a homicide, as a result of gunshot wound complications.
1/25 - 11:36 p.m., Angelo Baldwin was found injured in the 3400 block of Elgin Avenue. Medical personnel were summoned and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Police are investigating the deadly shooting.
1/25 - 8:19 p.m., Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital. They were advised that the shooting occurred in the 600 block of Yale Avenue.
1/25 - 5:52 p.m., A 20-year-old man was shot in the 300 block of Yale Avenue.
1/23 - 1:45 p.m., A 29-year-old man was shot in his left wrist near Lexington Street and Kossuth Avenue.
1/23 - 11:23 a.m., A shot spotter came out for the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue, evidence of a shooting was found but no victim. Later, a 26-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He's expected to survive.
1/23 - 3:35 a.m., An officer was flagged down by a 20 year-old man who had been shot. He told police two other victims were inside his house in the 600 block of N. Lakewood Avenue. There, a 21 year-old man and 16-year-old girl were found wounded. The girl died and has been identified as 17-year-old Alissa Taylor of Aberdeen. Police have charged Lenny Epps.
1/22 - 7:20 p.m., Officers found a 32-year-old man suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his body in the 3500 block of 6th Street. He was transported to an area hospital and is in good condition.
1/22 – Melvin Johnson, 32, was fatally wounded in the 1800 block of Druid Hill Avenue
1/21 - 10 p.m., 16-year-old boy shot in the right shoulder in the 1400 block of Kitmore Road.
1/20 - 11:19 p.m., Officers were called to a local hospital where they found a man that had been shot. Investigators don't know the location of the shooting yet.
1/20 - 2:58 p.m., A 30-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Medical personnel were called and took the victim to an area hospital.
1/20 - 12:19 a.m., Tavaughn Anderson, 46, was found shot inside of a crashed vehicle in the 1900 block of North Chester Street. He later died at the hospital. Police say the victim was parked in the 1700 block of North Chester Street when an unidentified suspect began shooting at the victim. The victim then drove northbound on Chester Street and crashed into a parked unoccupied car.
1/19 -8:08 p.m., Breonna Rogers, 30, was found shot in the neck inside the 3100 block of Swann Drive in Druid Hill Park. The victim died at the location. Police have charged 30 year-old Major Kinchen.
1/18 - 9:02 P.M., Man found shot inside vehicle in the 700 block of Vine Street. Homicide detectives have taken over the case due to the victim being in critical condition.
1/18- 6:30 p.m., Devonta Williams, 28, was fatally wounded in the 1300 block of West North Avenue.
1/18 - 3:07 am: A 57 year-old man was shot in to the left arm inside a residence in the 1500 block of East Chase Street. Detectives arrested 52 year-old Dwayne Elliott of the 1200 block of Caroline Street.
1/17 -10:09 p.m., Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1000 block of South Carey Street. Medical personnel were summoned and the victim was transported an area hospital.
1/17 - 2:29 a.m., A 27-year-old man was shot in the Unit block of North Woodington Road.
1/17 - 12:39 a.m., A 30-year-old man was shot in the 3600 block of Pascal Avenue. Medical personnel were called and the victim was taken to the hospital.
1/16 - 8:05 p.m., Markeese Stanford, 21, was fatally wounded in the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue.
1/15 - 9:05 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the wrist in the 3500 block of East Lombard Street. Police are investigating.
1/14 - 11:15 pm, A 31-year-old was found at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot. Police are trying to find out where it happened.
1/14 - 7:25 p.m., A 23-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the torso in the 1200 block of Preston Street.
1/13 - 8:25 p.m., Two men including 30-year-old Terrell Scott were shot in the 3500 block of West Garrison Avenue. Scott later died.
1/13 - 5:03 p.m., A 32-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in the 3100 block of Oakfield Avenue.
1/13- 1:43 p.m., Damen Forston, 22, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head inside a vehicle in the 3900 block of Pinkney Road.
1/12 - 9:24 am: Two men were shot in the 1800 block of Druid Hill Avenue. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.
1/12 - 4:31 a.m., Officers found a 59-year-old man inside of a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso and hip in the 500 block of Dundalk Avenue. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed that he drove himself to the 500 block of Dundalk Avenue after he was shot by two unidentified male suspects in the 6100 block of Cardiff Avenue.
1/11 - 8:06 p.m. Man shot in the 2000 block of West Lexington Street. On June 15, police arrested and charged 23 year-old Kerron Moore of the 1500 block of Tunlaw Road.
1/9 - 3:40 p.m., A man was shot in the hip in the 5600 block of Perdue Avenue. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
1/8 - 10:05 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 2300 block of Aisquith Street and found a man, alert and responsive, suffering from gunshot wounds to the stomach and legs. He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.
1/6 - 20 year-old Curtis Berry was fatally wounded in the 2200 block of West Baltimore Street.
1/5 - 9:28 p.m., Officers responded to the 2200 block of West Baltimore Street and found a 20 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and a 38 year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Due to the male victim’s injuries, Homicide detectives have been notified.
1/3 - 8:12 a.m., Two women, an 18-year-old and 21-year-old, were shot in the 4200 block of Bonner Road. Both were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The shooting suspect, a 35 year-old man, remained on the scene and barricaded himself inside the location. He was taken into custody without incident.
1/3 - 2:42 a.m., A 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were shot in the 1800 block of Lawina Avenue. Both victims were taken to an area hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
1/2 - 6:25 p.m., A 69-year-old man was shot in the chest in the 2500 block of Reisterstown Road. The victim was taken to Shock Trauma and was pronounced dead a short time later.
1/2 - 3:50 p.m., A 49-year-old man was found dead inside his Baltimore home with obvious head trauma.
1/2 - 6:43 a.m., A 28-year-old man was shot in his side in the 2100 block of W. North Avenue. He is in serious but stable condition.
1/1 - 9:40 p.m., At an area hospital, officers located a 24 year-old man who had been shot in his leg. Police say the victim and friends were cleaning rifles inside his friend's home when one of the rifles discharged striking the victim in his leg. Detectives have determined that this shooting was accidental and will not be seeking to file charges.
1/1 - 8:30 p.m., A 17 year-old man was shot in his right hand. He told police he was walking in the area of S. Warwick Avenue at Hollins Street when two unknown men who were wearing masks approached and attempted to rob him. He says one of the suspects pulled a gun at which time he grabbed the gun and was shot.
1/1 - 1:54 p.m. A man was shot in the 1100 block of Wheeler Avenue. Police believe the victim was approached by an armed unidentified suspect when a fight broke out and the shooting occurred.
1/1 - 4:15 a.m., Tiffany Wilson, 33, was stabbed to death in the 1200 block of North Stricker Street. 26 year-old Lakeyria Doughty was taken into custody on scene. The incident is believed to be domestic related.
