BALTIMORE — Marriott Waterfront workers are leading a one-day fast for justice.

They've been outside of the hotel in Downtown Baltimore since Tuesday morning.

They say they want a fair agreement to protect their jobs, safety and give them access to health care.

More than 100 hotel employees voted to unionize back in May of 2019.

For the past year, they've been negotiating with management.

"Recently during the protests for racial injustice that we saw this summer, Marriott put out a statement saying that they want to do more to end racism but we have here in Baltimore Avenue to question what does that mean when you have a largely people of color workforce here and you're not even listening to the basic very basic demands that these workers have put forward.”

We reached out to Marriott for a statement, we're waiting to hear back.
