BALTIMORE — An MTA subway partially derailed Monday near Wabash Avenue and the Rogers Avenue Metro Station.
The subway operator reported the derailment around 6pm as it was approaching the station platform.
All cars remained upright and connected throughout the incident.
Five passengers aboard at the the time were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Although the cause remains under investigation, there were reportedly no problems with equipment or track infrastructure.
For now a bus bridge has been put in place between the Owings Mills and Penn-North stations.
The MTA expects full subway service to be restored by week's end.
