BALTIMORE — This year, it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot.

On Friday, Total Health Care will hold two outdoor flu shot clinics in Baltimore.

The clinics will be at The Y in Druid Hill from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at The Weinberg Y in Waverly from 9 a.m. to noon.

Registration is not required. The flu shots are free. Patients should bring their insurance cards. If someone is not insured, they can still get a free flu shot. Masks are required for people over two years old. Shots are available for patients nine and up.

"Because the symptoms related to COVID and flu are very similar, we want people to make sure that they have been vaccinated for the flu so that they are able to distinguish between COVID symptoms and flu symptoms," said Total Health Care Vice president of Philanthropy and Social Responsibility Darien Nolin.

Attendees will be able to get tested for COVID-19 as well.

There will also be a food distribution event happening at the clinics. The distribution will begin at 10 a.m.
