TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a robbery and shooting at a Towson apartment complex.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Friday at the Towson Promenade Apartments.

That’s just another incident where residents are raising concerns about security at the complex.

A resident told WMAR-2 News the leasing office sent out an email last week warning residents about suspicious individuals in the hallways of the building.

Management told residents they notified police about suspicious activity, and to be on the lookout for anything unusual.

But now just a week later, police said there was a shooting in the parking garage.

Baltimore County Police said someone was robbed at the apartments, but was not struck by gunfire.

A resident at the apartment said he plans on moving soon because of the crime.

“I work from home, I stay home, I leave early in the morning, I come home, I’m surprised I’m even out like right now,” resident Darius Sias said. “I’m happy that I left an hour ago, I’m happy that I’m back and it’s over now. I guess I have to go park my car in the garage and hope nothing else happened.”

WMAR-2 News reached out to the management company but they haven’t responded.

Police said they aren’t sure how many suspects there were and that they were gone by the time officers got here.
