BALTIMORE — Police were on scene of a barricade situation in Northeast Baltimore for more than three hours.
On Saturday at about 5:35pm, Northeast District patrol officers responded to 5600 Block of Kavon Avenue for an assault.
Once at the location, officers spoke with the victim, a woman, who stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, who was still inside the location.
A Command Post and perimeter were established and negotiators were on scene.
At about 9:18 p.m., the suspect peacefully exited the location and was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation.
Members of the department conducted a neighborhood canvass and communicated with neighbors to make them aware of the situation and provided information on options to minimize exposure.
