ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an incident between an Anne Arundel County soccer coach and a juvenile.
According to police, the incident took place on Thursday morning.
The victim told police she was attending a soccer practice at South River High School, organized by soccer coach, 52-year-old Kevin Clark Lyons. She stated that practice began at around 7 a.m. and as it was wrapping up about an hour later, she was seated in her car speaking with Lyons.
The victim explained that she was seated in the vehicle while he was standing in the open doorway of her vehicle.
"Kevin Lyons then said 'Hey' and as the victim turned in his direction the coach tried to kiss her at which time she turned away and he kissed her cheek. The coach, Kevin Lyons, then stated 'no' at which time the victim stated 'no'. The suspect then walked back to his car and returned a short time later stating, 'Let’s not make a big deal about this.'," the report states.
Detectives obtained digital evidence and conducted numerous interviews in regards to this incident. Lyons was charged with the Second Degree Assault of the juvenile.
