EDGEWOOD, Md. — Edgewood’s own, Jaleal Fitzgerald got frustrated over not finding a job, so he decided to go to work for himself.
In the first week of his new business he made $100 dollars! But it is what he did this week that has him on the news.
Once class is out at Edgewood High, Jaleal is out the door and on his way to work. His commute is seven seconds, depending on if traffic allows him to cross the street. He sets up shop on a corner of Edgewood Road right in front of Cover the Earth Ministries.
The other day, Pastor Donald Smith heard the mail box open. What was in the box was amazing,
“It was a thank you from Jaleal. Thank you for allowing me to operate my stand in front of the church. Just a note to say thanks so much. Merry Christmas”.
There was cash inside, Pastor said, “Oh man, it knocked me over almost brought me to tears”.
Jaleal is out here everyday from 3 p.m. until he’s had enough.
He says, “I want to work to buy video games for Christmas”. Funny how this young man is on video showing us what it means to give.
