Suspect sought in assault and murder of 60-year-old man

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are seeking the identity of a suspect in the robbery and murder of 60-year-old Victor Malabayabas on the 600 block of South Kenwood Avenue.

Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation and obtained photos of the suspect who was seen fleeing the scene in a 2005 gold Buick Regal.

According to police and witnesses, Malabayabas was approached by the suspect who asked for a cigarette then a tissue.

When Malabayabas handed the suspect a tissue, he was grabbed by the shirt and slammed against a car then to the ground.

The thief then took off with his wallet.
