SYKESVILLE, Md. — With hand sanitizer being left empty in stores and people selling them for outrageous prices, a local distillery is looking to help out.
Patapsco Distilling Company in Sykesville is making its own hand sanitizer.
"When we order alcohol, this is how it comes. In a 55 gallon drum we'll take this and use our stainless steel drums, right now that's the remnants of our blood orange chello we just bottled. But we'll use these with glycerin, hydrogen peroxide and water and that's the recipe for WHO approved hand sanitizer."
The distillery is still waiting on some supplies. They'll start selling the hand sanitizer next week.
