COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The University of Maryland is working on a phased return to campus for student athletes.
That consists of weekly COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.
Voluntary individual workouts have resumed for football players.
Below is a week-by-week look at the testing totals and results for all university athletics.
On July 27, 2020, the University Health Center conducted on-campus screening for 227 student-athletes and athletics staff. No individuals tested positive for COVID-19.
Cumulative results of all athletics testing to date:
- 964 tests
- 12 positive results
On July 20, 2020, the University Health Center conducted on-campus screenings for 192 student-athletes and athletics staff. No one tested positive.
Cumulative results of all athletics testing to date:
• 737 tests
• 12 positive results
On July 14-15, the University Health Center conducted on-campus screenings for 185 student-athletes and athletics staff. Three tested positive.
