Two dead, two injured within 20 minutes overnight in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Two people are dead and two were left injured in separate double shootings that happened less than 20 minutes apart overnight Thursday in Baltimore.

The first happened at 12:02 a.m., in the 3100 block of Independence Street.

Northern District officers found two men on scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

One victim died on scene, while the other passed away at a hospital.

Nineteen minutes later, two more men were shot while driving in the 1200 block of Cliftview Avenue in East Baltimore.

The victims, ages 56 and 61 were each wounded in the chest. Their condition is unknown.

Police haven't released information on any possible suspects or motive in either case.

Since Wednesday afternoon, three people have been killed and eight others injured in city shootings.

This follows a violent Labor Day weekend which saw over two dozen people shot.
