SILVER SPRING, Md. (WMAR) — A $10,000 reward is being offered to help police identify a suspect caught on video assaulting and robbing a woman outside a home in Silver Spring.
It happened just after 3 in the morning on October 12, in the 3700 block of Castle Terrace in the Fairland Area.
The video shows the victim outside, about to enter the home, when four suspects suddenly approach.
At least one of the suspects hits the victim in the back of the head with a metal object, causing her to fall.
The man then steals the woman's purse and runs off with the other three suspects.
In the video, the woman is heard screaming as the suspect assaults her and demands her property.
Police hope someone may recognize the voice of the male suspect in the video.
