BALTIMORE — Maryland Natural Resources Police released a video on Tuesday, showing officers rescuing a whale that had been trapped and tangled up in fishing gear.
It happened last week about 15 miles outside of Ocean City.
The officers saw two buoys and a fishing line wrapped around the whale's tail.
In the video, the officers are seen cutting the line and freeing the whale, allowing it to swim away.
