Weekend starts violently with seven shootings and three dead in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — The weekend is off to a violent start in Baltimore after seven shootings leave three dead.

The first shooting occurred at 12:20 a.m., Officers located a 21-year-old woman at a local hospital who had been shot in the arm.

The victim says she was possibly in the area of Gist at West Strathmore Avenue, when she was shot by an unidentified person.

Two minutes later at 12:22 a.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of Druid Hill Avenue for a shooting.

They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to the hospital.

A few hours later, at about 2:16 a.m., officers headed to the 100 block of West Franklin Street for a reported crash.

Once they arrived, officers located a man inside of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and his condition is unknown.

At a local hospital around at 3:18 a.m., officers located 16-year-old Alajanaye Davis suffering from a gunshot wound to the throat and a 30 year-old man who had been shot in the back.

Despite efforts, the 16-year-old girl was pronounced dead.

Less than an hour later, at approximately 4:01 a.m., officers headed to a nearby hospital for a report of a shooting victim.

A 31-year-old man and a woman were both suffering from gunshot wounds.

The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead by doctors.

The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.

Police say that the victims were walking in the 300 block of Key Highway when they got into a verbal dispute with the suspect.

The suspect shot both victims before fleeing the location.

Just ten minutes later, at approximately 4:11 a.m.,officers headed to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Officers found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the leg.

Police say the victim was in the 2700 block of Erdman Avenue when he was approached by an unidentified suspect.

The suspect produced a handgun and pronounced a robbery.

The victim and the suspect began to struggle over the gun when the victim was shot in the leg.

Around 5:20 p.m., officers went to the 1500 block of Presstman Street to investigate a shooting.

A man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital.
