GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Detectives with Montgomery County are investigating a robbery that took place at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Gaithersburg on Monday.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to the Navy Federal Credit Union located at 104 Ellington Boulevard for the report of a robbery.
Detectives found a suspect approached a teller and passed a note announcing the robbery. The suspect then demanded cash and implied that he was armed with a weapon.
He then fled from the bank after obtaining the money.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned man wearing hospital scrubs, a black Adidas cap, glasses, and some kind of cover on his head.
