NEW YORK — Starting in March, ABC News will launch a six-episode series called “Soul of a Nation.”
The series travels across the United States, telling the stories of Black Americans and the challenges of today.
Each episode will feature a guest host and interviews highlighting themes such as activism in sports and the aftermath of George Floyd's death.
Carmelo Anthony, Nick Cannon, and Danny Glover are among the many celebrities and athletes who will make special appearances throughout the series.
The series was created by Marie Nelson, a Senior Vice President of Integrated Content Strategy at ABC News.
It will be headed up by Co-Executive Producers Robe Imbriano and Eric Johnson, along with Executive Editorial Producer, Chantre Camack, and Series Director, James Adolphus.
“Viewers of all backgrounds, regardless of race, will be moved, educated and inspired by the broad range of stories and topics shared on this show,” said Johnson.
Episodes will air Tuesdays and can be viewed the next day On-Demand and on Hulu.
