BALTIMORE (WMAR) — The Women of the World Festival scheduled for Saturday in Baltimore has been canceled amid coronavirus fears.
Though there are no confirmed cases of the virus in Maryland, festival officials cite Baltimore’s close proximity to other states and city's such as Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia, which could pose a potential risk.
Over 1000 people were expected to attend the festival from various locations.
There is no word on if the event will be re-scheduled. Mission Tix will be refunding ticket purchases within the next 5-7 business days.
