Viral video of a father who tried to attack disgraced Olympic doctor, Larry Nassar in court has people talking. Especially parents who can't imagine the thought of their children being harmed.
ABC2 showed several people the video. Some were shocked, others say they understand what this father was feeling but all said they can relate to what that father was going through.
"Absolutely scary. I can understand. I feel for the man," said Jim Grant, a Harford County parent.
Grant watched the viral video of Randall Margraves charging at Nassar in a Michigan courtroom. Margraves' daughters were Nassar's victims.
In the video, Margraves had just heard their emotional victim impact statements for the first time at Nassar's final sentencing.
"I can't blame a dad wanting to protect his daughter it's just a terrible act that that man did and I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life," Grant said.
Nassar sexually abused young women when he was the usa gymnastics national team doctor and an a physician at Michigan State University
Parent, John Biglen, told ABC2, "I wish he would've gotten to him. Do a little parental justice. What he did to those women or those young girls, they're women now."
Court officers tackled Margraves before he got to Nassar but knowing the details of what Nassar did, parents say they can relate to his rage.
"I can understand the anger for sure. It's a very sad, scary situation," parent Tonya Hawkins said.
Margraves was cuffed and held at the county courthouse; apologetic after his courtroom outburst.
"I look over here and Larry is shaking his head no. Like it didn't happen, I lost control and I apologize 100 times," Margraves told the judge.
Nassar's been given up to 175 years in prison for sexual abuse. The judge who presided over today's sentencing will not punish Margraves.
But, the Eaton County prosecutor could charge him with a crime.
