VIRAL: Boy trespasses for cutest reason

Trespassing is never a good idea, but in this particular case, we just can’t help but smile.

Viral video footage shows a Louisiana boy sneaking into his neighbors’ garage to give their dog a hug. The incident was captured on the couple’s security surveillance camera, Good Morning America reported.

Josh Breaux can be seen riding his bike before stopping in the home’s driveway, laying his bike down and racing towards the garage where the black Labrador sits.

He proceeded to lovingly hug his canine friend for a brief moment before bolting out of the garage and riding away.
The homeowner, Hollie Mallet, noticed the heartwarming encounter when scrolling through the security footage in early-May.

She posted it to her Facebook page, hoping to identify the boy and let him know he could stop by anytime to play with Duchess.

“One day, we were going through the footage and I told my husband, ‘You’ve got to see this,’ and he [Josh] came in and gave him a quick hug, and we wanted to find out who he was,” she recalled. “We live in small town so everyone pretty much knows everyone, but we don’t know all the neighborhood kids because we don’t have small children anymore.”

The video, which now has more than 2 million views, quickly gained traction. In no time, Josh’s mother — Ginger Breaux — identified him.

“Josh talks about your dog all the time!” Breaux commented on the viral post. “Every time we pass he looks to see if she was sitting where he could see her. Just didn't know he was doing things like this. Last night when I first saw it, I was torn as a momma being happy and upset because he knows he shouldn't be on someone's property, but I wake up this morning more happy that he just absolutely adores dogs so much.”

Soon, Mallet and her husband got to meet Josh and let him know in person that he's welcome to regularly stop by for play dates. And that’s exactly what he has started doing.

According to GMA, the Breaux family does not own a dog, as their own family dog Bella died last year.

“Things have been busy and Josh is active with after school activities so we have not jumped back into taking on the responsibility of starting all over again with a new pup quite yet,” Josh’s mom said. “It will happen though!”

And hopefully soon, because it appears Josh has puppy fever.
