3D breast imaging new tool in cancer fight at Medstar Health

A new technology is helping physicians at Medstar Health in their fight against breast cancer. Tomosynthesis, more commonly called 3D breast imaging, takes the images captured during a mammogram and creates a three-dimensional representation of a breast so doctors can more thoroughly "scroll through" the image and spot potentially issues.
