Turtle rolls to recovery on LEGO "wheelchair," Maryland Zoo says
Turtle rolls to recovery on LEGO "wheelchair"
A turtle with a shattered shell was found in Druid Hill Park by a Maryland Zoo employee. Thanks to some creativity from the zoo's veterinary staff, the injured reptile should be able to return to the wild next spring. He was given a LEGO wheelchair so he could move around while healing, letting his slow recovery occur as he still gets to do what turtles do – walk around, eat, and hide in his shell.
