With election day 8 days away, both gubernatorial candidates in Maryland pick up new endorsements.
Incumbent Republican governor Larry Hogan received an endorsement from the Frederick News-Post over the weekend. The newspaper says "Governor Larry Hogan is exactly what everyone should want in a governor -- someone who is pragmatic and thoughtful when it comes to the issues." Hogan has also received endorsements from The Baltimore Sun and the Capital Gazette.
Hogan's Democratic challenger Ben Jealous received an endorsement from Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby. She also backed Senator Ben Cardin, Congressman Elijah Cummings and Attorney General Brian Frosh. In a statement, Mosby called for support for Democrats up and down the ballot and the stakes have never been higher for our state or our country.
