One firefighter was injured while fighting a fire in a Glen Burnie home Sunday afternoon, according to a spokesman.
Crews were called to the home in the 1700 block of Tieman Drive just after 2 p.m. where they found a large fire showing from the front and side of the home. The lone occupant was able to evacuate before crews arrived.
67-firefighters were needed to get control of the fire; one sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
Two dogs were not able to make it out of the home and died in the fire.
Officials say the house is a total loss but do not have a dollar estimate yet. The cause remains under investigation.
