A beautiful day at Terrapin Park on Kent Island for the 15th annual 4th of July fishing tournament.
"We have more and more people joining in. Our main thing is to promote family togetherness and offer an alternative to drugs and alcohol abuse," said Kevin Kelly, organizer of the event.
There was more than just fishing... good music... and to promote smart boating, a life jacket wearing contest.
"It's my first time catching a big fish in this pond."
Samantha Brown is going for the most fish caught in her age group, while Avery Sadowski caught a 16-inch bass.
"It didn't rip my line but it almost did and it ate all my worm," said Brown.
One of the best things about today is the amount of excitement doesn't exactly correlate to the size of the fish.
"The Romancoke Pier, I caught a minnow about two inches big and it's funny I did it again," said Peyton Gessert.
Some big fish were caught, some landed some not so big fish and some even reeled in the love of their life.
