MILLERSVILLE, Md. — A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured, and a 14-year-old girl suffered minor injuries, when the All Terrain Vehicle they were riding on flipped over, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.
Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Three Rivers Road in Harwood at about 8:30 p.m. Friday. Witnesses said the two girls were riding on the ATV when it flipped, ejecting both. The 14 year old was deemed the driver, while the 17 year old was the passenger.
The 17 year old was experiencing seizures thought to be related to injuries sustained in the accident. She was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore via a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter.
