One person was killed and two others were injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on Sunday evening.
Around 8:30 p.m., firefighters responded to calls about an accident in the area of Saint Stephens Church Road and Creek Farms Lane. A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested due to the severity of the accident.
When firefighters arrived, they found the motorcycle had struck the driver’s side of the car. A woman in her late 20s was the passenger of the motorcycle and was in cardiac arrest when firefighters arrived. They attempted to resuscitate her, but she was declared dead at the scene. The helicopter landed at Crofton Middle School and transported the 24-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle to Shock Trauma with serious but non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man, was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries.
