HARWOOD, Md. — A 23-year-old man was rushed to University of Maryland Shock Trauma after a crash in Harwood, Anne Arundel County Police said.
Officer responded to a single-vehicle crash on northbound Solomons Island Road (MD-2), just north of Harwood Road, at about 12:41 a.m. Friday.
Police said a 2003 BMW 330 CI traveling north on the road lost control and struck a BGE pole. The driver, Jacob Jasper Greene of Lothian, suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Shock Trauma.
Police are not sure why Greene lost control of the car. Speed and alcohol may be contributing factors. The Traffic Safety Section is assisting the Southern District of the Anne Arundel County Police in the investigation of the accident. Their findings will be reviewed by the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office.
