31-year-old arrested and charged for attempted to rob a Glen Burnie Shell Gas Station

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Officials say that a 31-year-old man was arrested for attempting to rob a gas station in Glen Burnie early Wednesday morning.

At around 5 a.m., Anne Arundel County police officers arrived to the Shell gas station at 6616 Ritchie Highway for a robbery of a business. A male suspect entered the store, said that he had a weapon and then attempted to steal stuff from the store.

The store manager intervened and the suspect ran toward the back of the business. A responding officer saw an individual that matched the suspect's description on Allen Road.

The individual ran from the officer, but they were able to arrest him on Continental Drive after a brief foot pursuit.

The suspect, who has been identified as David Carroll Hall, of Glen Burnie, was arrested and taken to Northern District for processing.

Hall has also been charged with the following:

  • Robbery
  • Armed Robbery
  • Assault- First Degree
  • Assault - Second Degree
  • Theft: $100 To Under $1,500
  • Reckless Endangerment
