The Board of Education approved more than $57 million in construction contracts and renovation work on three elementary schools in Anne Arundel County.
Officials say the renovation and upgraded school environment projects will be for Edgewater, Tyler Heights, and Richard Henry Lee elementary schools.
1. Edgewater Elementary School: $27.6 million for seven contracts
2. Tyler Heights Elementary School: $20.9 million for seven contracts
3. Richard Henry Lee Elementary School: $8.7 million for six contracts
Richard Henry Lee is scheduled to be finished in 2020 and Tyler Heights will be completed a year later in 2021.
Students at Edgewater and Tyler Heights elementary schools will remain in their buildings through the construction process.
