ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) — Police are investigating a string of armed store robberies that occurred within four hours, Sunday throughout Anne Arundel County.
The first incident was reported just before 7:30 p.m. at the Citgo gas station in the 500 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie.
A man armed with a handgun came into the location, and demanded that the clerk give him cash from the register.
After getting the money, the suspect ran away towards 5th Avenue. No one was hurt.
Less than three hours later, officers were called to the Dollar General on Veteran's Highway in Millersville.
Police were told that two gunmen entered the store, and announced a robbery.
The two suspects then took cash from the register, and fled. A store employee suffered a minor injury, and was treated on scene.
Forty-five minutes afterwards, a third armed robbery was dispatched, this time at the CVS on Davidsonville Road in Crofton.
Two male suspects went into the store, and jumped over the pharmacy counter. One of the men maced an employee, and then began to stuff different products in a bag.
Police were able to get the bag back, after the suspect's had dropped it while trying to flee the store.
So far no arrests have been made in either of the three incidents.
