A warrant inquiry becomes a drug bust leaving two men arrested and charged in Pasadena

PASADENA, Md. — The Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested two men for what started out as a warrant-related stopped and ended as a drug bust.

Northern District detectives with the Tactical Patrol Unit were foot patrolling the Freetown area, when they saw an occupied Honda Accord in the 7900 block of Liberty Circle. Officers said 21-year-old Montrelle Musa, who lives in the area, had outstanding warrants related to a domestic dispute.

When officers approached the car, they found Musa in the passenger seat and 31-year-old Corey Sessoms in the driver's seat, who detectives also knew. The two were removed from the car and detained while the warrants were confirmed for Musa.

Detectives called for K9 to search the car. That's when officers found:

- 100 caps of suspected heroin

- 100 caps of suspected heroin

- 44 caps of suspected heroin

- approxiamtely 91 grams of crack cocaine

- 33 Oxycodone 10 mg tablets ($20/tablet)

- 39 purple baggies of crack cocaine ($20/baggie)

- 1 digital scale

Located in a napkin on the driver's side floorboard was:

- 2 caps of heroin in a napkin

- 4 purple baggies of crack cocaine

Officers seized the Honda Accord and Sessoms' $963. He's being charged with posession and possession with intent to distribute heroin, crack cocaine and Oxycodone, and possession of paraphernalia. Musa was arrested for two warrants and charged with domestic assault.
