GLEN BURNIE, Md. — One million and counting, that's how many meals Anne Arundel County Public Schools have given out since schools closed in March.
They've given out three meals every weekday for kids in need between the ages of 2 and 18.
"There's uncertain times, it's not the routine that our students have each and every day, so this is just a great way to really give them that routine and connect them back to the school services and provide them with the meals that really fuel them for the work at home the play at home. As well as making it a little bit easier on the parents.”
The school system is serving between 8,000 and 9,000 students a day.
