He's adorable, he's dedicated to keeping you safe, and now he needs your help.
This is Rudy. He is an Annapolis Fire Department K9, sniffing out bombs when the city holds a parade or an event at the stadium.
He's been on the force for eight years, but now the service dog has gotten hurt. Rudy needs surgery for a tear in his leg. But the surgery costs $4,000.
Now the Chesapeake K9 Fund is coming to the rescue. The organization is trying to raise enough money to get Rudy back to work. The Chesapeake K9 fund plans to meet with the Annapolis Fire Department Wednesday, and will be starting an emergency fundraiser online.
