ODENTON, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested and charged an Annapolis man after he allegedly robbed a victim confined to a wheelchair.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, on Route 175 near Sappington Station Road in Odenton.

The victim told officers he was heading home in an electric wheelchair, when the suspect allegedly came from behind and hit the chair so hard causing the victim to become disoriented.

Police say the suspect stole the victim's duffel bag and fled. Detectives were able to track down the alleged suspect, and identified him as 31-year-old Donte Antonio Boston.

Boston was found to still be in possession of the victim's duffel bag.

He now faces felony robbery and theft charges. Online court records show Boston being held without bail pending a review.
