A 24-year-old Annapolis man was charged for a June 30 shooting of another man outside an Annapolis "social event," Annapolis Police said.
Ronreques Johnson was charged with attempted first-degree murder and six other charges after being arrested in Glen Burnie Friday. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
Police say at 12:26 a.m. on June 30, officers responded to a man suffering from gunshot wounds on Edgewood Avenue between West Street and McGuckian Street. Police believe the shooting occurred outside of a social event held at a building in the 1800 block of West Street. Further investigation linked Johnson to the shooting.
At the time of Johnson's arrest, he was riding in a car with 25-year-old Kendal Brown Jr. of Glen Burnie. Brown was arrested when police found he had a handgun, charging him with possession of a handgun and two related charges. He was released on $2,500 bond.
