Maryland rapper found inside crashed vehicle in Annapolis dies

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — An investigation is underway after a Maryland rapper was fatally shot inside a vehicle on Friday in Annapolis.

Police say they received calls of shots being fired around 9:20 p.m. in the area of Forest and Newtowne Drive.

Arriving officers found a car that had been involved in a crash nearby at Cherry Grove Avenue.

An adult male victim, who has been identified as 32-year-old Edward Montre Seay, of Chester, was then discovered shot inside and died shortly after. According to Annapolis Police Department's External Affairs Officer Sergeant Amy Miguez, Seay was also a rapper that went by the name Tre Da Kid.

The investigation caused multiple road closures, including Route 665 at Solomon's Island Road and Forest Drive at South Cherry Grove Avenue.
