The Anne Arundel County Health Department is asking anyone who may have come in contact with a rabid fox to come forward.
Health department officials found the fox near Jessup Road and Route 175 in Jessup earlier this month.
Anyone who was scratched or bitten by the animal should call the health department at 410-222-7256 (weekdays) or 443-481-3140 (weekends).
Any pet owners whose pets may have come into contact with the fox should call county animal control at 410-222-8900.
