Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh announced a joint task force to combat gang violence.
The task force involves Anne Arundel County, Annapolis and even the FBI.
"Recent events indicate that the gang problem has grown to the point of being an urgent threat to public safety here in Anne Arundel County," said County Executive Schuh.
The county is making strides in the fight against the heroin epidemic and is able to transition some of the focus to gangs.
