Suspect in Glen Burnie robbery and stabbing wanted

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police are searching for the suspect who is responsible for a Glen Burnie robbery and stabbing.

On Monday, at around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Crain Highway for a report of a robbery and stabbing. The man said that he was sitting in his van, at the corner of Virginia Avenue Northwest and Crain Highway, when he was approached by an unknown man. The suspect opened the driver's door in an attempt to rob him.

When the victim resisted, the suspect stabbed him, so he handed over his wallet and was able to flee down an alley.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, who is described as a black man with thin build, short hair, between the ages of 28 and 35.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is currently listed as being in stable condition.
