BROOKLYN. MD. — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested and charged three people Tuesday on drug-related charges.
The department said officers conducted a surveillance after receiving complaints of drug activity at the Park Plaza Motel in Brooklyn. Detectives later stopped 46-year-old Nevada Williams and 42-year-old Lynn Smoot at Ritchie Highway and Hanover Street. That's when officials said detectives noticed a small yellow plastic vial near one of the suspects feet.
When detectives searched the vehicle, they found 52 plastic vials of suspected crack-cocaine.
According to officials, detectives who continued to watch the activity at the motel learned that a third suspect in the room, identified as 34-Nicole Childress, had an open arrest warrant. Childress was taken into custody on the warrant with no incident.
All the suspects were charged with possession of CDS crack-cocaine and intent.
