Fire firefighters responded to a fire at a homeless camp in the unit block of Augustine Herman Highway in Elkton, Md., around 6:20 p.m. Monday to extinguish a blaze a tent.

A passerby called the fire in, and five firefighters had the flames under control in about five minutes. Officials believe about $200 worth of property damage was sustained. The preliminary cause has been labeled as incendiary, or arson. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Fire Marshall's Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844.
