Baltimore man charged with five store robberies in Anne Arundel County

MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) — A Baltimore man is in custody following a string of five store robberies in Anne Arundel County.

The latest happened around 6 a.m. Sunday morning at the 7-Eleven located at 5617 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.

A store clerk told officers that a man came into the store, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the cash register.

The clerk gave up the money and the suspect fled.

A description was given of a 6’2” tall man wearing a green hooded jacket, blue baseball cap and dark pants, which was similar to several other recent commercial robberies.

With that, robbery detectives were able to identify the suspect as Robert Allan Vennik .

A warrant was obtained charging him with Sunday's robbery and four others, including on February 13 at the Royal Farms on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, February 14 at the 7-Eleven on Old Mill Road in Millersville, February 15 at the Royal Farms on Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena, and on February 21 at the Shell Dash-In on Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena.
