Travelers may experience delays crossing the Chesapeake as the Bay Bridge closes lanes for repair work between May 13 and May 19.
One westbound lane may be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, through Wednesday, May 16, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17. From Monday through Friday, May 18, one lane on either span may shut down for 15 minutes for contractor pick up.
The eastbound span may be closed for routine maintenance on Sunday, May 13, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, May 14, and again Friday, May 18 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday, May 19. During those times, two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.
The westbound span may be closed from overnight Monday, May 14 through Wednesday, May 16, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning. Those closures may happen again on Thursday, May 17 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following moring, and again on Saturday, May 19 from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound lane at those times.
