Motorists needing to cross the Bay Bridge will have to navigate lane closures and potential delays between July 8 and July 13, the Maryland Transportation Authority said Monday.
The westbound span of the bridge, U.S. 50/301, will close from Monday, July 8 to Wednesday, July 10, beginning at 10 p.m. each day and reopening at 5 a.m. the next morning. The same closure will occur Saturday, July 13, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next morning.
During the overnight closures, two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span. One lane of the westbound span will also close from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 8 and 9.
The closures are so crew can conduct routine preservation and maintenance work and inspections.
