A bomb squad is called to a Laurel pawn shop for a hand grenade scare.
On Friday afternoon, The State Fire Marshal's Office says they responded to Superpawn located at 10119 Washington Boulevard for a discovered hand grenade, and concern it may be live.
Bomb squad technicians x-rayed the grenade and determined it was inert and posed no threat.
No injuries or property damage was reported.
The grenade was collected for proper disposal.
It is unknown how the grenade ended up at the pawn shop.
